Our Goals
Our goals are focused on collaborating effectively with the Church of the Open Door on solutions that benefit both the Church and the Neighborhood. We put together this framework to show our desires to work together and move forward.
Community Working Group
This neighborhood group would join with the Churches team on developing policies and procedures for the settlement. The group would work together to acknowledge and mitigate the concerns of the neighborhood residents in a way that is beneficial for both the church and the neighborhood.
Memorandum of Understanding
We would like a memorandum of understand that the Church is committed to working with the community working group. Before moving forward with more than 12 tiny homes, the working group would like to have the opportunity to assess the current situation and determine whether there are additional considerations.
Regular Impact Assessments
We would like impact assessments that include: Any violations, disputes, late rents, police calls or any other information that will help the community understand what is happening there. We would also like this communication to be balanced and include what positive impacts it has had on the people of the settlement, events held, items produced and personal accomplishments.
